I am sorry to report that I must cancel the round in the US for 2008.
We are unable to use the same location as last year and I have tried to find another location but have been unable to secure one. I have received confirmation from John Dady at Blowsion that we will have access to a location for an event in Oregon for September 2009 but nothing for this year.
The beach race that we were associated with last year has chosen the date of October 10-12 which does not work because of World Finals. I tried to find another location in Oceanside but was turned down due to a recent jet ski injury/death in the area. It is unlikely that we can hold any sort of event in the Oceanside area in the future. It is very difficult to get a location in California due to environmental concerns and rulings about motorized craft in the surf zone.
I am sorry I do not have better news. John Dady and I have been talking for a while about bringing a moto-surf event to Oregon in place of his Blowsion beach bash. I had hoped we would be able to work something out for this year but it is not possible in the event's current location. I have talked with John and we will work with Tchello to choose a date for next year to bring the tour to the US.
